Minutes of meeting held Aug. 28, 2004
Attending: Keith Justice, acting President, Lynn Krigbaum, co-secretary, and Norris Dodd, Treasurer Also, interested attendees: Gretchen Forbeck and Dottie Baker
Absent: Richard Remmington, Jim Roeder, Mary Ellen Bittorf
Resigned: Paul Esswein
Keith called the meeting to order at 1:45 PM.
Since a quorum was not present, no voting was possible. Discussion of proposed By-Law changes occurred. We went over each section and all the additions, deletions, and corrections were discussed. Norris will e-mail the changes to the members.
Norris will have a mailing address by the next meeting.
Keith discussed the notebook left by Paul Esswein.
Norris led a discussion regarding the search for more Board members. Gretchen has an interested person, Jim Anderson, who will submit his background information for the next meeting. Board meetings are open to all interested parties.
The secretary is responsible for sending minutes and an invitation to all, but these should be sent as blind copies to protect the e-mail addressees privacy.
We are looking for additional Board members and supporters. To this end, we need a flyer and publicity. Dottie will speak with Angelo Musante (Picos Nursery).
The transfer of the WMLT bank account from Paul Esswein to Norris Dodd will occur in the next ten days to 2 weeks.
Keith relayed that Mary Ellen wants us to talk about the property next to Honey Bear on 260.Gretchen said that the owner has a plan to build multifamily housing there. Mary Ellen envisions a mini-park on the site as an appropriate entry into Pinetop-Lakeside. Norris will tell Mary Ellen to make inquiries of the property owner.
Gretchen brought up the need to get in line for Block grants as there is a 2 year lead time for them.
